Bleu de Chanel Parfum is the warmest and woodiest of the three Bleu concentrations, and the one Jacques Polge built around sandalwood. The citrus opening everyone recognises is still there — grapefruit, lemon and a cool lift of mint — but it burns off faster here, handing over to a dry, resinous heart of ginger and nutmeg. What lingers is sandalwood and tonka over cedar and labdanum, sitting close to the skin rather than projecting. Where the Eau de Toilette is bright and the Eau de Parfum balanced, the Parfum is the after-dark reading: smoother, denser, and noticeably longer on skin.
